The New Dodge Viper: ACR, GTC or TA? So Many Choices, So Little Time!

Getting a little tired of your old, boring car? Want a features packed, super powered, American-made sports machine? Let us introduce the 2015 Dodge Viper with a 645 horsepower, 8.4-liter V10 engine that can get from zero to 60 mph in about three seconds. Don’t be intimidated - the Dodge Viper is not only good for racing, it’s quite comfortable on the road too. The 2015 Dodge Viper comes in a variety of models, including the ACR, GTC, and SRT. Let’s review the options!

Dodge released a concept of the Viper ACR at the 2014 SEMA Auto Show, and word is it should be ready for production by this summer. The most striking aspect of the Dodge Viper ACR is the aerodynamically designed carbon fiber body that features a large rear wing, a wide front splitter, and louvered air extractors in the front fenders. The Viper ACR glides along on 19-inch wheels and pulls out all the stops with carbon-ceramic brake discs and six-piston Brembo calipers.

The most racing-minded model is the recently introduced TA (Time Attack) 2.0 Special Edition. This extra special Dodge Viper is equipped with a unique aerodynamic kit, 18-inch front wheels and 19-inch rear wheels, Brembo rotors, and Pirelli P Zero™ Corsa tires.

Now here comes the Dodge Viper GTC that features the optional Viper “1 of 1” concierge program to satisfy the most selective tastes. With this program, the GTC starts as a simple mid-level Viper GT with, oh, just about 8,000 exterior colors and 24,000 custom stripes to choose from. You’ll also have the choice of 10 different wheel types with a variety of designs, and they’ll even let you choose a hood from either the base Dodge Viper SRT or GTS.

We’ll stop talking now and let you test drive your favorite new Dodge vehicle at our Knoxville Dodge dealership.
